West Melton Gallantry
George Sorby (23) a miner, of West Grove, Brampton, made a gallant rescue on Saturday, when Wilfred Griffen (9), of Packman Road, West Melton, fell into a disused clay pit at Brampton when playing with a number of other lads in the vicinity.
Mr. Sorby, who was fishing heard a splash The homeand saw the lad struggling in the water which is 15 feet deep. Without hesitation Mr. Sorby threw off his coat and cap and dived, in,.
