Plough Inn Harvest Festival

September 1959

South Yorkshire Times September 19, 1959

Mr. and Mrs. E. Clark, licensees of the Plough Inn, West Melton, are seen among some of the produce taken to the hotel for Sundays’s Harvest Festival.

After a Festival service conducted by Mr. T. Atkinson, of Winterwell Pentecostal Church, the produce was auctioned by Mr. W. Pettinger and it is believed that the result (£28 10s.) for the benefit of old age patrons, is a record for the Wath and West Melton district.

The Festival was arranged by Mr. W. Hoyle, assisted by Mr. R. Dransfield and Mr. T. Harrison, and the licensees are grateful to all concerned in this notable success.
