Lad with a Future

Five-feet ten and standing strong, Eric Hirst, Wath Wanderers’ goal keeper, is freely spoken of as a lad with a future.

He has now played three games with the Wanderers and has made few slips. At 5f t. 10 Hirst is well built for the job and takes a keen interest in his personal fitness. He has a good eye for anticipation.

Hirst lives at Newland Avenue, Cudworth, and was spotted by Mark Crook while playing for Monk Bretton in the Barnsley Intermediate League.
