The wedding was solemnised between L/Cpl. Fred Kerry, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Kerry, 8, Kathleen Street, Goldthorpe, and Margaret Ellen Smith, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Smith, Clarence Street. West Melton, at Brampton Parish Church on Saturday.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a gown of White satin beaute with coronet of orange blossom and veil, and carried lilies.

Bridesmaids were Miss L. Cusworth and Miss I. Jackson, who wore gold satin beaute and headdresses to tone ; Mrs. M. Buckall in rose pink taffeta, and Miss A. Green and B. Daly in white satin beaute with head-dresses to tone. All carried mixed cornflowers.

Best man was Mr. G. Kerry, and groomsman Mr. B. Bailey. The bride gave the bridegroom a gold signet ring, and the bridegroom gave the bride a gold wristwatch, and the bridesmaids necklaces.
