The Reverend S.E. Williams, B.D., Primitive Methodist minister at Swinton, has accepted an invitation to preach in the Swinton Parish Church at the men’s service on Sunday afternoon.
A grave crisis has arisen in the printing and newspaper industry. A dispute has arisen concerning wages, and failing a settlement by Saturday practically the whole of the provincial printing firms and newspapers (daily and weekly) will be stopped. Negotiations for a settlement or proceeding, and on both sides the hope is expressed that an amicable agreement will be reached.
