Prisoner of War
Signal man Frank Cooper (36), R.C.S., of Walden Buckleigh Road, Wath, who was posted missing on June 20, 1942, is now reported to have been taken prisoner of war at Tobruk.
His wife received this information on October 7th.
Sig. Cooper enlisted in November. 1940, was sent abroad in July. 1941. He was in Canada for six weeks and later went to the Middle East. He took part in the relief of Tobruk in 1940, and was in that fortress when it was captured by the Germans this year.
He was formerly employed at the Avenue Road grocer branch of the B.B.C.S.
