Wm. Rider, Denaby, for being drank and disorderly at Swinton on the 13th inst., was fined 3s. and costs.
Thomas Wood, Wath. was charged with being drunk and disorderly at Wath on the 1st inst.—Defendant was fined 5s. and cost.
Epliraim Kemp and Arthur Lidster, Wath, were charged with being drunk and disorderly at Wath.
Police. constable Hutchinson said on the day named in the summons he saw the defendants fighting in the street amongst a number of women.
Lidster pleaded not guilty, and called a witness, who said that Lidster was in his company from seven to eleven o’clock, at the White Bear public house.
Each of the defendants was fined 3s and costs.
Bridget Clarke, Denaby, was charged with assaulting Lydia Burton, Denaby, on the 12th inst.
Defendant pleaded not guilty.
Complainant said she heard defendant ” calling ” her husband. She went out to speak to her, and the defendant threw some writer on her.
A cross-summons charged Lydia Burton with assaulting Bridget Clarke on the same date.
They were both ordered to go home and pay their own costs.
Sarah Thompson, Denaby Main, was also charged with assaulting Bridget Clarke on the 12th inst.
Defendant denied the charge of assault, and the magistrates dismissed the case.
