Brampton 212 for 8 Ackworth 134

Brampton have opened the season very brightly this time. To the reputation of the welfare ground, game on Saturday was decided only five minutes to spare, and featured an entertaining 53 were Raymond Denton in Brampton’s opening score of 212 for 8 wickets declared.
Most of the Brampton batsmen hit out brightly, but Ackworth, with odd exceptions were given little opportunity to settle down to anything like useful scoring. With five minutes to go they were dismissed for 134. For Ackworth, C Pawson took five wickets for 71 runs and for Brampton W Kilmer had 3 for 47.
