Wedding Delayed For Funeral

At the request of the bride, a wedding at West Melton, Wath-on-Deurne, was delayed half an hour yesterday in order that it might not clash with the funeral which was arranged to take place in the same street at the same time.

The wedding was that of Miss May Ward, daughter Mr. and Mrs. J. Ward, of Stokewell road, West Melton, and Mr. Thomas Espley of Beech road. Wath, and took place at Princess Street Methodist Church.

Both are well known in the district and there was large attendance at the ceremony.
