A family reunion for the Vickers family was held at Church house, Wath, on Saturday, to give grandsons and friends of the family a welcome home after all had played their part in the war.

Centre of attraction was Grandmother A. E. Vickers, who celebrated her 84th birthday on Tuesday. There were 79 for tea and a three tier cake specially made for the occasion served the dual purpose of marking the return of the younger generation from the services and Mrs. Vickers’ birthday. After tea Mr. J. Vaughan was toast master. The evening was spent in dancing and games.
