Private Mapes, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Mapes, Chapel-street, Wath-upon-Dearne, is officially reported missing from March 23.

He was formerly in the postal service, first at Wath and later at Rotherham, and enlisted early last year.

He has, a wife and six children

Mr. and Mrs. Mapes have another son serving in France. This son was gassed some time ago. Any news of Pte. Mapes is gratefully welcomed.
