Private Salkeld, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Salkeld, Norton road, Wath-on-Dearne is now stationed in India.

He enlisted originally in 0ctober, 1913, in the K.O.Y.L.I. and was invalided from Mesopotamia with dysentery. After recovering in England he was drafted to India.

He is 22 years of age, and before enlistment was employed at Manvers Main Colliery.

He was also a member of the Wath Wesleyan choir.
