Soldiers – Stocks Brothers – Two Killed, Three Wounded

Mr. and Mrs. Stocks, 48, Warwickshire street, Hunslet, Leeds, formerly of Wath-upon-Dearne, gave five sons to the Army. Of these two have been killed, one wounded and captured, and the remaining two wounded.

Cpl. Chas. Stocks (Yorks. Regt.) , (below left) , 22,. Married 34, Cadman street, Wath-upon-Dearne, who enlisted in 1914, is tome on sick leave, after being in hospital with wounds and rheumatic fever.

Pte.H.Stocks (Cheshire Regt.) , (below, centre), aged 21, single,was killed on July 1, 1916

Sergt. J W. Stocks (West Yorks) (below right), aged 34, married, was killed in September, 1917.

 

Pte. G. H Stocks (West Yorks.), (below right) aged 39, married, is wounded and a prisoner of war in Germany.

Pte. A. Stocks (West Yorks.), (below left), married, aged 30, has been twice wounded and is still serving in France.
