A Distinguished “Platform.”

Lord Halifax laying the foundation stone of the new Middle School which is being built at Brampton Bierlow by the Ellis Educational Trust, the first Church school of this class to be built in the district.

To the left are Mr. R. F. Pausey (Clerk to the Ellis Trust) and Mr. J. M. Spencer Stanhope (a trustee); and to the right Earl Fitzwilliam (a trustee) and the Bishop of Sheffield, who dedicated the stone.
