A Wath Memorial Idea
At a meeting of Wath-on-Dearne Council, the question of a war memorial was mentioned, and it was decided to summon a public meeting.
The Chairman said his own idea of a memorial was that they should acquire the land opposite Wharncliffe Crescent, lay it out for bowling greens and flower beds, and erect a monument there.
Mr Robson said he understood the workmen at the various collieries had some idea of memorials the collieries.
He thought if they were property approached they would make common cause with various efforts.
