With R.A.F. Abroad

L.A_/c. Douglas Hanley (21), only son of Mr. and Mrs.H. Hanley, of 4, Northside Road, Wath, is serving with the Ft A.F. abroad. A./c. Hanley volunteered for service a month after the outbreak of war and was drafted abroad last year.

He was educated at Wath Victoria School after which he worked as an apprentice electrical engineer at Baker and Bessemer Ltd., Kilnhurst. until joining up.
