Athlete and Swimmer.
Mr. George William Saggers, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Saggers of 176, Wath Road, Roman Terrace, Mexborough, is maintaining an athletic prowess which he established as a Roman Terrace schoolboy.
First Roman Terrace boy to win the “Bond” Shield, and to take part in county athletics,
Mr. Saggers has, during the past three years, passed through the various grades of the Royal Life Saving Society’s examinations, and has recently received his final diploma and first class instructor’s certificate. He has the bronze and silver medallions of the Society.
His successes have been achieved at Wath swimming baths, and he is a member of Wath swimming club.
