British Restaurant
Most people in the Wath area will by now have visited the St. James’s British Restaurant In Sandymount, but those who have not yet had this privilege have no idea what they are missing.
A ” Times ” reporter who visited the Restaurant recently was well satisfied with a good meal for the modest sum of 10d. (2 ½ p).
The menu included meat and potato pie and peas. The restaurant is well managed by Mrs. L. E. Band and her staff, which includes members of the Wath branch of the W.V.S., who have voluntarily formed a daily rota.
