Sgt JW Bramhall (R.A.M.C.), 7 Victoria St, Wath Road, Mexborough, has been decorated with the Military Medal by his commanding officer for devoted attention to the wounded on the battlefield, under heavy fire.

He has been in France 15 months and before enlistment was employed at Wath Main.

He obtained a thorough knowledge of ambulance work at the classes held in Wath, and directed by Dr F.J. Burman.

Sgt Bramall’s sister, Miss E.M.  Bramhall, has for some time been engaged in military nursing at Blackpool, has now been transferred to a naval hospital abroad.
