Buried At Hanover

Twenty-four-years old Mr. Richard Ward, of Wath-on-Dearne, who was killed in a road accident in Germany last week, was buried in Hanover on Friday.

Mr. Ward, who was serving as a gunner with the Royal Artillery, was one of nine children of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ward of 13, Newfield Crescent.  He leaves a widow and two children.  He last visited Wath with his wife and daughter in November, 1958, and previously worked at Manvers Coking Plant.

His family at Wath found it impossible to attend the funeral, but a wreath was laid on their behalf by his colleagues in the Artillery,
