Civic Ceremony – A New Departure

Mr George Cook, the new chairman of the Wath Urban District Council, and his vice-chairman, Mr. M. Swift (on his left), heading the procession of councillors and public officials to divine service at the Wesleyan Church, Wath-on-Dearne, on Sunday morning.

This is the first occasion on which this annual civic ceremony in Wath has not taken place at the parish church.
