Colliery Accident at Wath

Yesterday morning a married man named Ellis Turner of Swinton, was employed as a collier at the Manvers Main number one pit, was his working place, when a large quantity of coal fell from “the face” quite burying him.

When extricated it was found that he was very badly hurt.
