Denaby Main and Manyers Main Topmen
Yesterday the whole of the topmen at these mines had handed in their notices to leave work unless the advance of wages asked for be paid.
The majority of the Denaby Main men presented their notices on Wednesday. With very few exceptions the employees are in the miners’ union.
They are sanguine of success in the present agitation, especially as some of the mine owners have already promised to meet the wishes of the workmen.
