Distinction for Wath Boy
Wath Grammar School student, Robert Straw (18), of Sandymount Road, Wath, has had the distinction of being offered a place in two Cambridge University Colleges – even though he has not completed two years in the sixth form.
The headmaster Dr. C. R. T. Saffell, told Wath Combined School Governors on Wednesday “It is quite a rare distinction. Normally Cambridge will not accept a student for entrance examinations unless he has completed two years in the sixth form.”
