Jean Young (19) daughter of F. W. R. Young, retired managed of the Wath National Provincial Bank, and Mrs. Young, of 105 Chapel Street, has passed her college examinations after a two years’ course qualifying as a children’s nurse.

Miss Young has been .studying at the Norland Nursery Training College, Chislehurst, Kent, for the past two years. She has spent some of her two years in a London County Council Nursing School and also spent some weeks in a children’s hospital in Farnborough where she studied midwifery.

Miss Young, a former student of Park Road Secondary School and of Barnsley Technical College, is at present home for a holiday before taking up a post. Also during the next few weeks Miss Young will take a further two examinations, a Nursery Nursing Education Board Examination on July 2nd at Sheffield and later a Royal Society of Health examination.
