The fortunes of the game between Heanor Town and Wath Athletic last night, at Heanor, varied considerably.
Wath, after a brilliant start and goals by L. Murdin and W. Moore in the first 20 minutes, allowed Heanor equalise before the interval, Sampson and Mansfield scoring.
Heanor quickly went ahead after interval. Pantling converting a free-kick and Mansfield beating Whittaker with brilliant shot.
Near the close Wath made desperate efforts, and E. Murdin scored a third goal. Afterwards Eley keut goal finely for Heanor, who won an exciting game four goals to three.
