Donald Hinchcliffe, of Brampton, who caused considerable surprise last Saturday by winning the Men’s Open Singles in the Mexborough Lawn Tennis Association’s tournament at Wath, beating two county “colts,” R. G. Jackson and R. J. Snow, to do it.
