Alfred Hugh Goddard (21), 162, Main Street, Ryecroft, Rawnarsh, was severely injured by a fall of roof in the Manvers Main (No. 3) Colliery on August 10, and was removed to the Montagu Hospital, Mexborough, with a fractured spine.
He died there on October 31, and an inquest was held yesterday by Mr. Frank Allen, at which verdict of Accidental death was returned.
Mr. J. J. Baldwin Young held an inquest at the Town Hall, Wath-upon-Dearne, yesterday, on Ernest Woodger (38), 117, Beech Road, upon-Dearne, screens foreman at the Manvers Main (No. 3) Colliery, who was killed on Tuesday at this colliery by being crushed between waggons in the colliery yard.
A verdict of Accidental death was returned.
