Wath Hospital Sunday Demonstration last week-end realised £100 for the Montagu Hospital.
The Chief Scout, Lord Somers, is to visit Yorkshire on June 20th to 22nd and will attend a rally at Doncaster during his visit.
“Stay Put” on Whit-Monday and attend the Grand Hospital Gala at Mexborough, organised by the Mexborough and District Railwaymen.
Mr. W. P. Turner, President of Mexborough Montagu Hospital, handed over the Montagu Cup to the Manvers Main football team at a social at Swinton House on Tuesday.
Britain’s Railway Queen, Miss Kathleen Lawton, is due to arrive in Mexborough on Sunday evening and will open the Hospital Gala, organised by Mexborough railwaymen at Mexborough on Monday at 11 a.m.
The engagement is announced of Miss Mary S. Nicholson, M. B., Ch.B., only daughter of Coun. P. B. Nicholson, J.P., chairman of Wath Urban Council, and Mrs. Nicholson, J.P., and 2nd Lieut. D. Scott, B.Sc., of the Staffordshire Regiment.
Lord Somers, the Chief Scout, is to visit Doncaster during the week-end June 20-22. A “Rally” is being organised to illustrate to the public and to the Chief Scout the many activities both in National and Special War Services that Scouts are doing.
