The annual meeting of the Montagu Hospital Mexborough, will be held on Saturday afternoon.

The Amalgamated Denaby Collieries, Ltd., are investing £5,000 in Mexborough’s Warship Week. This welcome investment in support of the effort has been secured through the good offices of Mr. J. H Dunk, secretary of the collieries.

The first substantial contribution in the Manchester Warship Week, amounting to £1.500,000, was subscribed by the Co-operative Movement on Saturday last. This contribution raises the total sum subscribed by the Co-operative Movement to £118 millions.

Lieut. Julian Warde-Aldam, third son of Colonel and Mrs. St. Andrew Warde-Aldam, of Hooton Pagnell Hall, has sent a postcard to his parents saying that he is a prisoner of war in Italy. Lieut. Warde-Aldam is in the Coldstream Guards, and nothing had been heard of him since he was reported missing some months ago.
