Reported killed in action in the Middle East is Trooper A. Haywood, of 9, Wombwell Main, whose father died of wounds received in the last war.

The Bishop of Sheffield is holding confirmations at Mexborough and Chapeltown Parish Churches on July 13th at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. respectively.

Mr. John Mason, of Mexborough, the Sheffield works’ shop steward, has been released after eleven months’ detention under a Defence Regulation.
