Fall of Roof.
Mexboro’ Miner Killed at Manvers Main.
On Wednesday night, at about, 11-25, George Henry Hawcroft, 176, Wath road, Mexborough, was instantaneously killed by a fall of roof in the Manvers Main No. 3 Mine
He was cushed by a piece of rock weighing nearly three tons.
Two other miners, Arthur Hall, of Swinton, and Harry Huckley of Bolton, were working with him, but they escaped unhurt.
