Miss A Tingle’s Fatal Collapse
Dr Peter Milligan, a Doncaster pathologist, who conducted a post-mortem examination on Miss Annie Tingle (56), music teacher, High Street, West Melton, whose death while undergoing an operation at the Montagu Hospital Mexborough, stated at the inquest at Mexborough that she would have died if she had not had the operation.
It was a normal anaesthetic, and the quantity used was normal.
A verdict of “Accidental death” was recorded by the Doncaster District’s Coroner (Mr WH Carlile).
Miss Tingle was conducter coach of the accomplished West Melton Victoria Male Choir, which she formed more than 30 years ago. The choir has broadcast and enjoyed a most successful competitive career.
