Out of the Hat.

Retiring Queen of Wath St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Moira Donnelly, of Mayfield, Quarry Hill Road, picked out of the hat the name of this year’s Queen.

She will be eight-years–old Elizabeth Grant, daughter of Mr. P. Grant Manager of Wath Main Colliery, and Mrs. Grant, of High Street, Wath.

The Queen will crown Our Lady Statue following a procession from the Roman Catholic Church along Carr Road to the convent grounds.
