Arthur Ward. haulage hand, Wombwell, was fined 5s. at Barnsley on Wednesday for stealing coal from the tips at Mitchell Main.

At Barnsley on Friday, Mark Haddock. miner, Great Houghton, was fined 5s. for stealing coal from the tips at Houghton Main.

The following fines were imposed at Doncaster on Tuesday:

Obscene language, John Burns, labourer, Denaby. £2 to be paid in seven days or 28 days in prison:

Robert Spurr, apprentice. Luke Horner, screenhand, John Henry Epton, miner, and Joseph Pearson, all of Denaby, 10s. each for playing football on the highway: Arthur Smith, miner, Conisbro’ 6s. for allowing dog out without name and address on collar; and Harry Deakin. joiner, Mexborough. 10s. for having ridden a motor cycle and falling to conform with traffic signal at Conisborough.

At Barnsley on Wednesday, Edgar Robinson, labourer. Little Houghton, was fined 5s. for riding a bicycle without light.

Frank Ogden. Wath was fined 10s. at Barnsley on Wednesday for driving a motor vehicle with rear plate not illuminated.
