Safety School
A “school” has been established at Manvers Main Collieries for the instruction of boys in safety principles.
Before being put to their jobs, the boys will receive this instruction from Mr. F. Hall, an approved County Council instructor, here seen conducting an experiment, and will also be shown over the plant, above and below ground.
The school is to be put into operation in the first week of each month.
This picture was taken by ordinary electric lighting down Number 3 pit. Also in the group is Mr. E. T. John, Safety Inspector to the Company.
