A/B. Jack Ball (19), son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Ball, of 37, Oaklea Avenue, West Melton, volunteered for the Royal Navy in April, 1942, and is now taking part in combined operations.

He is an old pupil of Brampton Ellis School and before joining the Forces was employed by Waterstone Glassware, Ltd., Wath.

He was a member of Wath Mechanics’ Institute and was in the Home Guard.
