Sailor Presumed Killed

Mr and Mrs Carnill of 41 Vicar Road, Wath, received a sad blow on Christmas Eve when they were informed that their son, Able Seaman Ronald Carnill, was missing at sea, presumed killed.

A letter received later in the week did not hold out much hope of his being alive. Aged 22. he has been in the Navy since May 1939.

A.B.Carnill has two brothers and a sister serving in the forces.
