Dorsetshire Survivor.

Mr. and Mrs. William Ellis. of 60, Winterwell Road. West Melton, have been informed by the

Admiralty that their grandson, Marine Leslie Ellis (24) who was serving in H.M.S. Dorsetshire when she was sunk in the Indian Ocean, is safe.

Ellis joined the Marines six years ago. He was born at Barrow – in – Furness, but has lived with his grandparents since his mother’s death over 22 years ago.
