Shouted At Wrong Men

Thomas W. Elliott, 54, miner, of 5, Park Lane, Wath, who was at Rotherham fined 10s. for having been drunk and disorderly at 10.35 p.m. on April 11th in High Street, Wath, admitted that he shouted to two police officers, “Put that light out!” when they were consulting as to an entry in a notebook, but he said it was dark and he could not see their uniforms.

Evidence was given by Sergt. Humphries and P.c. Brown, who said the man was very drunk. The constable said they were using a torch to verify an entry in a notebook when the defendant shouted to them.
