Old Wathonian Abroad

An Old Wathonian serving abroad is Mr. Stanley G. Atkinson, younger of Mr. and Mrs. T. Atkinson, Gas Works Cottages, Wath-on-Dearne. Called up In July, he has been in France two months.

He left Wath Grammar School three years ago, and has since been articled to the Surveyor’s department at Castleford Town Hall. He would normally have completed his period of apprenticeship in December.

He writes home to say he is well and happy—and enjoying his job. His sister,  Miss Ethel Atkinson, who is a member of the teaching staff of Brampton Infants’ School, will be remembered for her successes with the old Wath Amateur Operatic Society.
