Lance Corporal A Barlow (York and lengths), 232, Doncaster Road, Wath on Dearne, was killed during the advance on July 3.

He enlisted in October 1914, and went to France in August, 1915, passing safely through the battle of Loos, in which he fought from start to finish.

He was 23 years of age, and single.
