News of Pte. Fred Carr, who is reported wounded and missing, will he gratefully received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Carr, 25, Eastwood Lane, Rotherham.

Pte. Carr joined the Army at the age of 16, but was discharged owing to his youth. He rejoined in August last year, and has seen considerable service.

Prior to enlisting he was employed at the Rotherham Main Colliery.

He was born at Newhill, near Wath, and is well-known in that district. His aunt, who resides at 33, Park-rd., Wath,  would also welcome any information.
