Corporal Drummer Carr
(York & Lancs)

Cpl drummer Carr, of Charlton St, Parkgate, son of Mrs Carr, of 59 Sandymount Rd, Wath upon Dearne, is in charge of the band of the 2/5th York and Lang’s (territorial) stationed at Flixton Camp, Suffolk.

He has been a Territorial for 14 years, has been mobilised ever since the outbreak of war.

He is 28, and married. His brother private C Carr, 1/5th York and Lancs, was killed in action a few days ago.
