Two Sons Prisoners

For the first time in two years, Mr. and Mrs. H. Clark, of 21, Avenue Road, Wath, have had word from their eldest son, Gnr. Harold Geoffrey Clark, R.A., who is a prisoner of war in Japanese hands.  The post card they received from him informed them that he was interned in No. 1 Prisoner of War Camp, in Thailand.

He is 26 and joined the Army a year before the outbreak of war and when war was declared had been in Singapore for two weeks.

Another son, Pte. Jack Clark (24), is also a prisoner of war.  He was captured last April, three weeks after his arrival in North Africa with the Bedfordshire and Herts. Regiment.

Mr. and Mrs. Clark have now heard that he has been transferred from a prison camp in Italy to Stalag 101-17A in Germany.
