His parents, who live at 3 Rother Street, Brampton Bierlow, have received news that he is missing from his unit, but are pleased to let his many friends know that they have, through their son’s wife, who resides at Stainforth, learned that he is a prisoner of war at a camp at present unknown.

He worked at Wath L.&N.E. Yard and then transferred to Stainforth, and ultimately to Doncaster.

As a whistler and impressionist he entertained locally and had obtained engagements at several local cinemas. His talents have also provided much entertainment for his brothers-in-arms.
