A Wath boy abroad with the Forces, is Gunner Harry Harding, R.A., only son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Harding 64, Doncaster Road, Wath.

Gunner. Harding, who volunteered for the Forces in October, 1941, celebrated his 22nd birthday on February 21st.

He is an old pupil 3 of Wath Victoria School and Wath Mechanics’ Evening Institute, and was a server and member of the choir at St. James’ Church for 12 years.

Before joining the Forces, he was a well-known member of Wath Swimming Club and a holder of the Royal Life Saving Society’s Bronze Medallion.
