Lce/Cpl Walter Harrison, second son of Mr. J. W. Harrison, 5, Riley Road, Wath-on-Dearne, worked at Wath Main Colliery up to 1932, when he joined the Army, at the age of 17. After two years’ service he was drafted to Malta, where he served for over three years.
He rejoined his regiment in April this year, and is now with the British Expeditionary Force in France. He has passed the “Army School” of Cookery for Company Cooks.
