The death has occurred in India of Signaller Hedley Hoyle (24), only son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Hoyle of 22, Winfield Road, Wath.

He was called up in February 1940, and was drafted to India in Feb. 1942, where he had been ever since.  He had been ill since February last and word of his death was received by his parents last week.  He died in hospital on August 27th.

He went to Wath Park Road School and before joining up he was a cinema operator at the Regal, Rotherham. Before that he worked at Swinton Roxy.
