Lance Corporal Lidster, 7, Church-Lane. Wath-on-Dearne, died of wounds in France on June 4.
He was 22 years of age, and enlisted early in 1915. He had spent three years in the line in France. His parents have received messages of sympathy from the sister-in-charge of the hospital, the chaplain, and officers of the company.
They speak in high terms of his courage, self-sacrifice, and devotion.
He was formerly a scholar at the Park Road day and evening schools, and before enlistment was employed at Wath Main.
